Re-purposing with JBS~

Hi everyone, Connie here with two new projects using some of Jenni's fabulous junk, I mean finds:):):)  I love to re-purpose unique items  and make a place for them in my home.  I started  with this~

It measures about a 8 1/2" X 11" so it worked great for a 12" X 12" scrapbooking layout.  I backed the photo page with an acrylic sheet, so to protect my photo and papers.  I used the boy meets girl line, such a sweet line, thought it would be perfect for this sweet boy!!!

Next up is this cool piece~

This piece measures about the same as the photo album page.  I decided to make mine into a wisdom board where I can post things I want them to grasp!!!

Here it is with the photos and quotes {attached with cloths pins} and here it is before I added their sweet little faces and my wishes for them! I also used this~

I made this my wall hanger.  I covered the spool part with paper, leaving the name of the product to show.  All of the JBS products I used will be in the JBS Mercantile soon { so hang in there}!!!!
I would love to hear your thoughts on these types of blog posts!!! by~C. Mercer

'Tis the Season by May Flaum

'tis the season to make merry and share the love! May Flaum here to share one of my favorite ideas! What to do if you’re looking for something special to give without a lot of budget? The best bet in my book is to fill a jar with candies and then decorate it with your crafting supplies to give it a sweet homemade look, and turn a simple idea into something really special.
I used a vintage ball jar, but you can find any number of great jars and containers at the store that are new but have a great vintage look to them in a wide variety of sizes. I layered some of my favorite Jenni Bowlin tags and stickers with some embroidery thread and a strip of patterned paper around the lid. I was careful to not glue anything directly to the jar, so when the candy is gone the recipient can have and use this lovely jar for something else!
Happy Holidays!

Christmas Tags!

Hi, Tina here today with a fun and fast holiday project.

Christmas is less than a week away and hopefully you have all of your presents wrapped and under the tree.

If you still have presents to wrap or last minute gifts to buy, and need a fun and festive way to add some holiday cheer to your gift, how about create a vintage tag using lots of JBS goodies?

No need to have extra tags on hand with the Die Cut and Perforated Paper Tag Sheet.  I used 3 different tags from this sheet and embellished each one with Mini Deck Cards, JBS feathers, Mini File Folders and Printed Kraft Tags.  I also added Vintage Sew On Buttons and Doily Flowers for a unique look.  (Other supplies include:  True Vintage labels, Mercantile Exclusive Label StickersI finished each tag with an exclusive JBS for Jessica Sprague cut file.

Wouldn’t these look fabulous on a gift for your favorite person?  If you have wrapped all of your holiday presents, how about on a Holiday layout or card?

I hope you enjoyed by Christmas tags today!  I hope you have a wonderfully crafty and festive week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jingle All The Way

I have to be honest here, with Christmas only a week away I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by how many more preparations I've still got to go! So when it came to doing my Christmas cards I needed something quick and simple whilst still being eye-catching!

I think this set of 4 cards did the job perfectly. I've kept the same layout for each one, and I really haven't done anything too fancy or technique-y (with the exception perhaps of that origami Christmas tree)

Ok, and perhaps those origami stars as well....
But there are tonnes of tutorials out there for both of these techniques and once you learn them they are really easy to repeat over and over. I like to think of these things as tools in my tool-shed. You know... collect a few, and then just pull them out when you need them!

I don't know about you, but there's just something about Christmas crafts that makes me want to pour glitter over everything. Just about anything can be jazzed-up to look Christmassy with the addition of some sparkle don't you think?

But my absolute favourite card has got to be the dress-form that I turned into an angel with the addition of one of our famous JBS Cardstock feathers bent into the shape of wings. I think it just about works. Do you agree?!

So here's hoping you're all a bit more organised than me and not still working on your stash of Christmas cards. Although if you are, hopefully I've given you some ideas.

Merry Christmas
xx
