With the holidays approaching, my mind always shifts into gift-giving mode. I love to work with canvases of all sizes, so when I saw and fell in love with this JBS silhouette rub-on, I knew it would make a sweet, simple gift for one of my granddaughters. I simply painted a 6"x6" canvas with slightly thinned acrylic paint and when the paint was dry, I added strips of vintage book pages to the sides, using mod podge (remember mod podge?!) that i had added pink paint to. I allowed all of this to completely dry and then I added the JBS rub-on and did a bit of sanding....I like to rough things up a little : ) A simple torn strip of vintage fabric as a bow complete it. Very simple. As a sidenote, I have tried to apply other rub-ons to canvas in the past and it's been a huge disaster....not so with these smooth as butter JBS rub-ons.

Thanks for the inspiration Becky!
