The Thursday Theme this month is fabric and I'm blogging today with a quick and easy way to make a beautiful banner.

A friend gave me an upholstery fabric swatchbook from a store that closed a while ago:

 Each swatch is already cut with a pinked edge and has two very convenient holes in the top that are just perfect for stringing ribbon through.  Add more ribbon scraps and some decorative type, and you'll have an easy, but very pretty banner.

This one was made in no time for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary!
