I took a great Big Picture Scrapbooking Class from Jenni this year and won a guest design team spot for this month! Thanks so much Jenni!
I loved working with the kit – the colors are gorgeous and there is new product in there that just blew me away! It was hard to choose a favorite layout so I asked my son which layout was his favorite and he picked this one! Of course! The minute I saw the bottle cap, I thought of my son. My Big Bite punched the hole in it without a problem!
I wanted to share a piece in my scrap area that I love. I found an old trunk years ago at a huge flea market in Brimfield Mass. I just loved the red worn color. Years later, as I started scrapping and accumulating tons of cardstock, I wanted to find a place where I could keep the paper out of the sun and out of sight. I asked my handy husband if he could do something with the trunk to hold my paper. He installed a couple of heavy duty brackets that could hold 12x12 Cropper Hopper file folders and put the trunk on wheels to make it easy for me to move it. I use a lot of old pieces to hold my scrap stuff, and this is a favorite piece for sure!
Thanks for the inspiration Betsy!
Anabelle O'Malley made these sweet Halloween treat bags and graciously agreed to share them with us here on the JBS Inspiration Blog. Aren't they just delightful? And think about the possibilities with other JBS Bingo Card options . . . Christmas ornaments, Valentine's Day gifts, baby shower favors . . . thanks for the inspiration Anabelle!

Dina is sharing her scrappy talents with creative souls in Europe this month, but she sent us these fabulously inky layouts before she left. She is one talented chica! You too can take a class from Dina and bask in her brilliance. Her online class Art Journaling 301: Graffiti of My Life begins on October 27th. Don't miss out on the inspiration!
Betsy Sammarco was Jenni's Big Picture Scrapbooking contest winner, so we wanted to share her lovely work with you. Congratulations Betsy and thanks for the inspiration!
I (Doris) finished layout number four! I'm having so much fun with this kit! It's the perfect color combination for this time of year. It really has me in the mood for fall.
I had a major DUH! moment when I opened the October kit for the first time. See, I save every tiny scrap of each kit until I'm 100% sure I'm done creating with it. I don't even throw away the product packaging! You never know what you might need, but you can see how this would became shall we say . . . messy. Not this month though! This month I came up with the idea of kit bowling! I found this lovely Jenni Bowlin yardsale bowl in my kitchen and dumped all the kit embellishments into it. Then as I made each layout, I just kept throwing all the bits and pieces back in the bowl. Everything stayed neat and tidy and I only lost one tiny flower that the cat stole off a layout in progress.
Jenni Bowlin Studio plus Core'dinations Cardstock plus Paula Gilarde equals Fabulous!
We were so inspired by our September guests that we just had to invite a few more in October. Today Amber Ulmer shares her creativity with us.
She says, "Now that Josephine is 6 months, I don't want to forget every little milestone that happens each month. So Im going to start doing a monthly layout of a photo of her and write down what she was doing by that month! I am going to try and go back and do the past months as well. I don't want to forget all these special milestones in her life!"
We wanted to update you on changes to our monthly calendar here at JBS Mercantile . . .
