Christmas Ribbons

Happy Thursday everyone! With Christmas a mere 36 days away, my mind is on holiday wrappings. But since I'm not organized enough to have my shopping complete (yet!), I have no gifts to wrap, so I'm focusing on using pretty holiday trimmings on my scrapbook pages. And the gorgeous ribbons and trims from May Arts are a perfect way to do that! I've mixed them in with some classic Jenni Bowlin Studio supplies for this page:

To keep things simple, I started with an 8.5 x 11 piece of white cardstock and selected some trims to wrap around it. I selected a yellow pom-pom, a sheer red rosette, pale blue lace, velvet ric racs in forest green and deep red, chiffon ribbons in bronze and ivory and an organza looped trim. I also added in some of the black JBS Deco Chain paper from the new Red/Black Extension line before stitching everything in place with my sewing machine.

I created a frame for my photos by backing one of the JBS chipboard frames with a piece of white vellum. I embellished it with some of the vintage buttons in brown and green, and a yellow butterfly sticker. The title is the Red Bookprint alphabet colored in with a green marker and a few of the Tiny Circle Alphas in black.

A quick and easy page that leaves you plenty of time for holiday shopping! Speaking of which, I'm off to tackle mine!
