Spotlight On: August Project Kit
I absolutely adored Tina's project kit for August - and even if you're not in need of a small mini to document your summer fun, the supplies were perfect to create layouts with as well! You see those rectangular pieces that make up my photo mat for this layout? They are actually covered pages from the mini album! The only thing I added was a stick and embroidery floss from my stash...
We travel back and forth to see family in the Midwest several times a year, and we always have to grab a few photos in Chatanooga, Tennessee. It's a 24 hour drive, so the "are we there yet?" sign, is a perfect addition to this layout...
More documenting our road trip fun. It's always a bit chaotic, so I felt the random goods on the page were fitting!
Hope you're inspired to create something fun with the kit! Even if it's not the gorgeous mini album that Tina put together!
P.S. Leah designed the September Mini-album Kit (which contains exclusive flair badges designed by her as well). Only ONE left in stock at the last check! It is awesome! and inspiring!

Layering Madness, September Papercrafting Kit Style!
Hello! Tina here today with a layout using the September Papercrafting Kit!
The September Papercrafting Kit is chocked full of awesome COLOR, die-cuts, and fun little metal embellishments!
I love using color and pattern on my layouts and one of my favorite way to use all of this color is by starting with a white background.
I build on the background by adding die-cuts, patterned paper, and small little embellishments. I even re-colored the metal embellishments with Distress Stain for a different look.
So that my photo wouldn't compete with all of the color and pattern, I changed it to Black & White. I also hid unwanted sections of the photo with die-cuts and embellishments.
Don't be afraid to use those die-cuts and patterned paper! And always use COLOR, COLOR, & more COLOR! :)
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a great week!

I start building color and pattern by adding a bit of splatters and spray mist to my white cardstock, and the exclusive Quilt Star stencil (in the September Papercrafting Kit) is perfect for this!

September Stamp and Stencil by Dina Wakley
Dina always puts our monthly exclusive stamp and stencil to good use. September's kit was no exception and here is a sample of the gorgeous results on one of her art journal pages. You can see the quilt star stencil adding such interest in the background and the vintage inspired circular stamp adding sweet detail around the edges of the page. Dina also grabbed one of the keyholes from the September Papercrafting Kit to highlight her title. Just lovely.
You can see more of Dina's work with this stamp and stencil combo in her gallery. There are still a few September Kits with this amazing stamp and stencil combo available. Grab yours today and get inspired!

September Historian Add-on Kit Makes Great Pocket Pages!
I am enjoying documenting the myriad great and small details of our lives with pocket pages and my JBS Mercantile kits. This is the opening page for my second album for 2013. The chalkboard cut-apart paper from My Mind's Eye in the Historian Add-on make for a striking introduction to the second half of the year. My favorite part, though, is the bright yellow sunglasses I stamped on vellum. I think this hip and versatile stamp set (seen below) will make its appearance many times in this album. The Historian Add-on is currently sold out, but you can always email and get your name put on a waiting list as sometimes a spare kit or two will show up after billing.
This spread completes our summer trip to Florida. It documents everything from flooding to the Fourth of July and blueberry picking to crocheting at the canal while the boys fish. Such fun times all at a glance. I love it! More importantly, my son does too! I think he sees it like an comic strip of his life.
These pages were also made with the Historian Add-on with the addition of the Artisan Add-on (also sold out) plus the washi tape from the Mini-album Kit and the alphabet stickers from the Main Kit.
For the title on the pictures of blueberries, I outlined the letters with a black Sharpie and then colored this in with a light blue Sharpie. I then handwrote berries on a bit of vellum and stuck it on top.
Since the yellow washi tape was so bright, I felt like I needed to add more of that bright yellow throughout the layout. I did this by coloring the chalkboard cut-aparts with a yellow marker and a highlighter. The bright colors really pop off that black.
The Historian Add-on isn't just for pocket pages though! Check out the Design Team Gallery and your sure to find layout inspiration with it as well. It's just a great kit for adding extra journaling to your pages!

A junker. post and a pop-up card~
Hi everyone~
I have a stack of vintage photo album pages, ephemera, labels, old canceled checks, ledger sheets, blank receipts and more!! It looks like this~
I wanted to put it all together in a book. A book that I could keep adding to. A book that I could take things out and use if need be. So I did~
Look real close and you will see all kinds of goodies (that are in the Mercantile/ flea market section). I named it "junker. @ heart"~ It's true!!!!
Here are the inside pages~
I used the JBS stickers and washi tape. Used my Bind-It- All to put it together!
I was recently introduced to pop-up cards. I love making them. So I thought what about a Jenni style pop-up card. So I did~
Remember with a pop-up card, it's not what is on the front that counts, It's what is on the inside that counts:):)
This is the front~
Jenni makes an awesome pop-card:):)
The pop-up dies are by Sizzix and the brain child of Karen Burniston. They are very addicting.
Thanks for stopping by~
