Sue Althouse lives in southeastern Michigan with her husband of 30+ years and two spoiled cats. She grew up in Ohio and all her family still live there, so she is truly a Buckeye at heart. She has a grown son who is married. Sue recently retired from teaching piano in her home for over 25 years. Sue started scrapbooking in 1998 after taking a trip to Israel and Egypt and coming home with a plethora of pictures and memories. When she is not scrapping, you might find her reading, knitting, watching Duck Dynasty, or rooting for her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes or Detroit Tigers - sometimes doing several of these at once! Sue is currently serving on the design teams for Get It Scrapped! and Write.Click.Scrapbook. She will soon be releasing her very first online class at Creative Passion Classes.

The layout, "You Are My Sunshine", is one of my current favorite pages. I love the photo and the way I could showcase it with a mixture of products from several of the September kits. This youngest daughter of my uncle and aunt was born later in their lives. At that time, my uncle joked that he hoped he would be able to escort her down the aisle without needing a wheelchair! He certainly got his wish.
Recently, my husband cleverly mounted a tripod on the wall of my scrap room so I could begin shooting process videos. I posted my very first video on YouTube using the September Papercrafting kit! I'm having great fun learning how to shoot, edit and post videos. I put off doing this for a long time, and am glad to finally be taking the plunge.

Right now, this photo of black-eyed susans growing in our back yard is one of my favorites. We've been trying unsuccessfully to grow them for several years, but the rabbits kept eating the young plants. Finally, we put them in their own raised bed with cages and marigolds to keep the rabbit away. They are one of my absolute favorite flowers and I'm thrilled to finally have a big bed of them!
Thanks so much for joining us this month Sue! We have enjoyed every minute of it!
