Be Mine by Ranjii Malhotra

I have been wanting to use my Jenni Bowlin for Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabbers on fabric for some time and I recently found a stash of needlework fabric I had from my cross-stitching days. You can purchase this type of fabric in most craft stores. I simply cut the heart shape using pinking shears and then covered the fabric hearts with the dabber paints in Cough Syrup and Chewing Gum. Allow the paint to dry completely. If you're impatient like me, you can use your heat gun to speed drying. If the heart curls up or warps, you can iron it flat (on the side without the paint, on a low setting very quickly - don't apply too much heat and don't iron for too long. Then attach the heart to your card base. If you like, you can stamp a sentiment on the heart. I stamped the Be Mine sentiment (Northwoods Rubber Stamp) using Papertrey Perfect Match Hybrid Ink in Fresh Snow. I I added embossing powder in white and embossed the sentiments on to the fabric. Add a few stick pins, JBS labels, seam binding and vintage buttons and you're done - simple and lovely valentines.

What a sweet technique! Thanks for the inspiration Ranjini!

Sparkle Video by Shimelle Laine

A sweet wedding layout by Shimelle Laine featuring a lovely Soap Powder Paint Dabber border with tiny butterflies, buttons, and flowers. I think her journaling makes this perfect, "Hilariously there are no photos of our wedding rings on our wedding day, because we forgot them. But really, I still smile when I look at my own hands."

And of course, Shimelle is always thinking of fun and innovative ways to share her scrappy skills with us. She's installed a camera above her workspace and has a timelapse video of creating this layout to share with us today. So fun! Thanks for the inspiration Shimelle!

P.S. Check back this evening for gallery updates!

A Home Full of Memories from Danielle Flanders

Continuing Jenni Bowlin for Ranger spotlight month with a charming card by Danielle Flanders . . .

I painted the postage stamp chipboard frame with the Seed Packet Paint Dabber by Ranger, then I ran a little bit of the creme paint dauber over the top to shabby it up and tone down the color just a bit. The red chipboard heart is painted with the Cough Syrup Paint Dabber, and I used one of Jenni's frame stamps also with Cough Syrup Ink to ground the little house, so it wasn't floating on my card. It also adds another nice little touch of red to the bottom of the card.

Supplies: Jenni Bowlin for Ranger paint daubers - Seed Packet and Cough Syrup, ink - Cough Syrup, and the JBS Mercantile February Papercrafting Kit.

Gorgeous! Thanks for the inspiration Danielle!
P.S. Our big giveaway is still open!

Eons by Celeste Smith

This month we're showcasing our Jenni Bowlin for Ranger products! First up is Celeste Smith with some re-inker mist action. Celeste says,

Anyone who know me knows that I am not a mister. I really don't like messy projects. I gave it a shot though. I used the JBS Ranger Fountain Pen re-inker and put 10 drops of it in a Mini Mister (Ranger) then added water to half fill the mister. Sprayed a couple shots on my cardstock and this is what I ended up with - a fun page documenting this great get together.

I punch a star out of corrugated cardboard (this piece was inside a picture frame) and lightly rubbed the Jenni Bowlin for Ranger Chili Pepper dauber over the corrugation for a striped look.
Thanks for the inspiration Celeste! (She has another sweet "Be Our Guest" layout on her blog).
And don't forget all our great giveaways are open till Friday!
