Welcome to Our January Guest Jennifer Chapin!

We are delighted to welcome the super talented Jennifer Chapin as our guest this month.  Here is an adorable layout she created with the January Kits (I especially love that tiny feather tree in the corner), and of course, we can't wait to see what else she creates for gallery updates on the 10th!

My name is Jennifer Chapin - I'm 29 years old and I live in Eastern Iowa. I've been married to my husband Adam for 6 years, we have a daughter Keira (3) and a son Connor (4 months). I work full time as a nurse, but after the kids are in bed I scrap most nights! Currently I design for Bella Blvd, Carta Bella, Scrapbook Circle, Ormolu and A Flair for Buttons. Besides scrapping, I love to cook and read. I am hopelessly addicted to my iPhone, coffee and Diet Pepsi. Thanks to JBS for letting me guest design this month -- it's an honor!

I have been making a more conscious effort lately to take pictures of our surroundings - things and not just pictures of people. On Christmas morning each year I make monkey bread, so this year I made sure to get a shot of the finished product before we dug in! I used some grey mist and the feather mask to embellish part of my layout, then I used the exclusive stamp to create a Christmas tree shape instead of a feather. The sequin hearts and letter stickers finished this page off perfectly!

Here's the recipe in case you're inspired to make a pan :)

Monkey Bread

3 tubes buttermilk biscuits
1 cup white sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
pinch of salt

Cut each roll of buttermilk biscuit tubes into 4 pieces. Drop roll pieces into sugar and cinnamon. Drop sugar-coated pieces into a well-buttered Bundt pan.

Put 1/2 cup of the leftover sugar/cinnamon mix, brown sugar and butter into a small saucepan. Bring mixture just to a boil; remove from heat immediately. Drizzle over the roll pieces.

Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Cool slightly, then tip over onto a plate to remove from pan.

A Viking sewing machine given to me by my grandmother. Little did she know I'd be using it to sew on paper and not fabric!

A picture of my son Connor on his playmat. Best part is it's straight out of the camera! And it captures his blue eyes :)

  3. I have visited many immigration consultants before I met I-Immigrate, but I only got disappointment. I-Immigrate guided me in the right direction and significantly contributed to getting me my USA study visa. And this all happened when my research on immigration services comes to an end after viewing i-immigrate reviews which was very helpful.
