Amanda's distressed rub-ons technique

Hi JBS fans! It's Amanda here and today I'm sharing my love of JBS rub-ons! I love Jenni's rub-ons not least because of the fantastic quality. No other rub-ons work for me with this technique...

I created this layout and wanted to add some of the days of the week rub-ons, but so that they worked better with the style of my page I wanted to distress them. You can see the final result here.

So, I don't know if you have noticed this, but JBS rub-ons are so thick and strong that you can actually peel them off of the backing sheet and apply them directly, like stickers. Awesome, right?! This is exactly what I did here, except before sticking them down I tore some pieces, folded and then crinkled them as I applied them.

Super simple but exactly what I needed for my layout!

Do you have any unusual ways of using your supplies? We'd love to hear about them. Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. REALLY cool technique. I can see this working well with many of Jenni's rub-ons. Thanks for sharing this!
