Grandma, Squirrels, and Clovers

March was a great month to scrapbook this little story.

My grandmother didn't have a drop of Irish blood, but she could find four-leaf clovers like nobody's business. Grandma was a farm girl.  Born and raised on the farm, she left school to help her family out.  Story goes she was the only one who could read the egg scale, so she was needed.  There are a lot of stories about grandma.  Big stories, and little stories too.  I came across this photo from 1958 of my grandma feeding a squirrel right from her hand.  Yes, she did that, and other interesting things too.

I captured 3 little snippets of my grandma's life on this page.  This is little stuff, but stuff I want to remember. Stuff I want my boys to know and remember.

And March truly was the best month to scrapbook this story.  The Cottage Cheese Caps with sweet clover graphics is on sale in the Mercantile Flea Market.  There is gor.geous patterned paper in the PaperCrafting Kit including paper with fancy flowers perfect for fussy cut roses.

Isn't that pocket watch sweet?!  The Artisan Kit has a package of 2 Pocket Watches and I used the smaller one here.  Just right for a page dating back in time. I printed out a Watch Face just the right size from our digital JBS-WatchFaces kit .  Can you find the JBS Wood Veneer Flash Cards?  I painted them with Burnished Pewter Distress Paint to match the pocket watch.  I guess I turned wood into metal ...  :D

I used the exclusive cut file on the layout also.  Cutting out of white cardstock and keeping the graphics small, the result reminded me of a picket fence.  A crafter in her own right, Grandma would be proud.

The clovers were a cut file I made myself and would love to share with you.
