Hello!
Wilna here! I live in Canada (yes, it's very cold right now) and this month there was a few factors working together (weather, postal service, family) and a long story short, i only got to share my pages today! I totally adore this month's papers and embellishments. If someone asks me to describe my scrapbook style, i always say it's lyrical... meaning romantic with lots of words. This months kit is super romantic and i always know it's a good sign when i open the box and feel slightly anxious and have palpitations from excitement.
This first page is actually my first scrapbook page of the year. Every year i pick a word that sits right with my heart for the coming year...in a way it serves as both my expectation and determination for the coming year. This year I chose the word
MIRACLE. 2011 is the year when my husband and i turn 40 and we would have been married 20 years. Our girls also turns 10, 12 and 14. (lots of 2's and 4's and 0's).
Ali Edwards have a fabulous class called "One little word" and i signed up this week. This page is for the first assignment. Let me just say that i love the fact that the class is for 12 months... Ali will keep us inspired and mindful of our word right through the year. love that.
This page is Valentine inspired. Can you believe it's almost Valentine again? I used
Jenni Bowlin's cute Calendar cards (February) as a starting point. My title was done with the Making Memories slice. Just one more note about one of my favorite techniques: I use my hot glue gun so much lately... and that's one way to achieve lovely dimension. Especially for titles: Just lay down a strip of hot glue and adhere the title on top.
This last project are actually 4 cards. Last year, i took lovely
pictures of my 3 girls for Valentine. I decided to make a card for each of them and of course for the husband : ) For these cards, i just layered papers, words and some of the exquisite embellishments from the kit + one tiny picture using mainly my hot glue gun. I always love layered effects. I am going to South Africa for a quick visit to my mom and dad and I plan to take these with me and mail them from there, as a little surprise.

We have dearly loved the beauty, talent, and generosity of spirit that Wilna Furstenberg and Michelle McCord have brought to the JBS team over the past several years. They are both taking on new adventures in photography as well as keeping up with all the new adventures of their active kiddos, so they are stepping down from JBS. We will greatly miss them, but hope to entice them to visit us from time to time. :)

Christmas is coming and there is not anything to get me in the Christmas spirit like crafts. So, used some of my favorite Jenni Bowlin black and red products and i made a little centre piece that you can use on your dining table or somewhere else in the home for decoration. As you can see here, it's super simple... i used a glue gun to adhere all the elements and of course lots of glitter is involved!! Even little chip board butterflies can be Christmas decorations with some gold glitter! So, today, put on some Christmas music and get yourself in the spirit by making a little decor item or even a card!
A while ago I took some fall pictured of my girls. And Scrapbooking them in warms my heart. But with this page i chose a colour scheme that's not typical fall colours. The combination of pink and red with the greens and gold in the picture makes my happy! Those little butterflies are Jenni Bowlin's chipboard butterflies and i just laid them out on the page and used pink gloss spray paint to spray them. As always my hot glue gun came in handy adhering the chipboard butterflies. Maybe today is the day to try combinations that you would not usually out together and hopefully you will be delightfully surprised!

Our family is in a season of change. And today I decided to make a page about it. It will be a good reference one day when we look back at this exciting time! I want to challenge you today to not only scrapbook the good times but also the times of change in your life!
Sometimes I have so many odds and ends from a kit and I love to use those little pieces with my punches. This year, I decided to make cards for my girls' dance teachers and the romantic Jenni Bowlin products was perfect to use. I saw this page on 2peas in a bucket and was so inspired with circles and butterflies. The little butterflies from Jenni's new product was just perfect to use. Be inspired today to use your favorite punches and combine your favorite colours and textures and make a page or a card that's just plain romantic!
I think being a mom is one of the most dedicated jobs out there. I think you know what I mean by calling it a "job". Maybe labour of love is more appropriate. We tend to give and give and give and forget about ourselves sometimes. That's one thing i learned this past week while driving my girls to and from the Dance Festival. I was their everything. In the process I did not drink enough water, I didn't exercise enough, I didn't have a moment just for myself to reflect and give thanks. So today my challenge is to all you busy moms: Make a page about you and give yourself a moment and some room to just BE. Write down something that you are going through or are thankful for. I know it sounds like a cliche... but we desperately need these moments. I know that just sitting down to make this page was such a moment for me.
