When I first saw this new rub-on from Jenni Bowlin I knew at once a Mr. Darcy project would be in the works with it. I layered bits and pieces of papers, a doily, and paint to create my background. I also stamped the new ledger (is that the right name?) stamp to add more depth to my background before adhering my special rub-on. I love that his ruffled shirt is not solid, so the background shows through just a bit. To make sure he stays put I coated him (and everything else) with a sealant (Perfect Paper Adhesive), and I finished by using Jenni’s dabber in Fountain Ink (black) around the edges.
Now I have some new art to hang, and I had one heck of a good time doing it too!
Before I go – I’ve got something I’d like to share with one of you. You see, a lot of things that I love tend to cross over into my crafting life (and vise versa). I’ve been thinking a lot about that, as well as many of my favorite crafting techniques and products as I create my new Big Picture Class. May with May is all about scrapbooking fun, and is filled with fun and inspiration (no rules!). I’d love to give a seat away to someone right here – just leave a comment here by next Wednesday, March 23rd, and you’ll be entered to win a pass to class.
If you’d like to find out more about class you can check it out here : www.bigpictureclasses.com/maywithmay.php
