The minute I opened my box of Jenni goodies, I was inspired to create a home decor piece...something that I could easily sit on a shelf to celebrate fall.

I started the project by covering the spool bases with the mini bingo cards...

One of my most favorite Jenni products is her mini patterned papers. The small patterns are just what we need for creating smaller stamped art. I knew immediately that the mini houndstooth paper would make the perfect leaves & that I could stamp on the papers to create flowers. The mini chipboard butterflies, buttons and vellum butterflies were the finishing touch.

I decided to salvage portions of the packaging to create custom embellishments. The words "vintage style" and "buttons" were exactly what the piece needed.

I inked & stamped the mini chipboard butterflies...

I used the bingo card package insert (with the mini bingo card) to make a perfectly coordinated really mini embellishment...

Wendy Vecchi is a full time artist/designer, Senior Educator for Ranger, and a member the Tim Holtz design team. Wendy loves to demo and teach at stores and events across the country and has been published in numerous publications. She was the guest instructor for the Artful Voyage in Mexico with Tim Holtz, in October of 2009. Wendy also has her own signature line of stamps from Stampers Anonymous titled "studio 490" and she also recently introduced her signature "art parts", which are simply...parts to make art. Hi! I'm Jill Sprott (rhymes with "boat"), and I'm beyond thrilled to be guesting here on the JBS Inspiration blog, which is one of my favorite places to visit in Blogland. I live on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, with my husband Rob and my daughter Zoe. By day, I'm an English teacher, which means that by night, I'm usually comatose, but on the weekends, you can find me scrapping happily in the midst of my colorful mess. Yep, I'm a messy scrapper, but it works for me. I scrap in a creatively cluttered corner of my living room, and the odds and ends on my desk sometimes spark the most unexpected ideas.

Every so often I look back at how my creative process has changed over the years, and I know that the most important lesson I have learned is to let go of fear and worry while I create. I've grown the most by taking risks, by venturing out of my comfort zones, and by being a part of communities where different styles are celebrated. The one thing that hasn't changed about me as a scrapper is that I have a big (huge) all-consuming love of patterned paper, and the new JBS collection is definitely fueling that fire. An abundance of green and yellow? Oh, yes. Vintage alphabet paper and journaling cards? Oh, dear. Fluttering butterflies and old school alphas and kitschy-cute chipboard buttons? Oh, my.

Guest Star Harumi Hagiwara!

Hi Everyone! I'm Harumi Hagiwara from Japan, everyone calls me 'chikotto'. I love this new collection. Its vintage style is really wonderful,and the paper's pattern is so cute! It matches any photograph, so I am very happy with it. My favorites of the collection are the new embellished vellum butterflies. I tried to use them in very interesting ways. I enjoyed making these. Hi, I'm Leslie Ashe! I live in Fort Worth Texas (home of the stockyards, best Tex-Mex ever & some serious HEAT) with my husband Alan. We have two amazing teenagers, Savannah & Shaypher. Hands down, my FAVORITE people on earth! My one spot stop for any sort of inspiration.

Scrapbooking began for me over 14 years ago and I haven't looked back since. Creating is my outlet, my life song, my everyday. I love to be surrounded by color. Any shape, size or form, it defines me. When I'm not in my little studio, you can find me curled up with a good book, with my family or out snapping as many memories as I can get in.
