All fabulous JBS~

Hi everyone!!!  I have a fun re-purpose for you, using the vintage slide bingo card, from the Mercantile.

Here is mine re-purposed into a photo display~

I loved the performance of the new gold Rub-Ons!.  No tear or break, just used my nail and they went on perfectly.  The mini frame is a junkin' find (50 cents).  The photo is clipped on with a cloths pin, decorated with a "To Do" Sticker.  I also used the new gold Sequins and Flash Cards.   Next up, three scrapbooking pages that are about 98% all Jenni~

Check out the new pointed star Stencil.  So easy to use and just wiped clean.  Here is where I used some of that 2% that is not Jenni.

On this one it has a new Flat Back embellishment, that is perfect for this page.  The Flat Back says, "this is my happy face". Look at my hubby's grin:)  The Flat Backs are so cool and look so great on pages and projects.  This one is adhered with a foam adhesive square.

What I love about JBS is the product  never gets dated.  This is Wren and It is still one of my favorite paper lines. This page has some chipboard (star), journal card, and tickets ~ all older product. Still fabulous:):) !
Thanks for stopping by and check out the Mercantile to see all the new releases. Oh, and don't forget the Flea Market section~way cool finds in there!!!

Summer is here with Elle's Studio and JBS!!!

Yeah, for Summer (I think)!!!  Yes that means cutting the grass if it takes all morning.  More layouts using Cameron by Elle's Studio.  The yellow in this paper matches the JBS yellow.  I used the Alpha stickers (orange/black), Star Banner stickers and a Die-Cut journaling card (yellow).

I added the JBS Flat Backs, and the Star Banner stickers (blue) to this one.  The colors match perfectly.

More Star Banner stickers added to this layout!!  One of my favorite things about JBS is the product works so well with other manufactures!!  A big Thank You to Elle's Studio for partnering with Jenni Bowlin Studio~I enjoyed creating with your fabulous products!!!

I have a cool re-purpose that I wanted to share with you.  I just love the True Vintage line that JBS has in the Mercantile.  I used one of the Drug Store labels and added it to my water bottle {vintage 7 Up bottle that I found on the ranch} with the cool sprinkle spout {you know, you used it when you ironed to dampen your cloths}~ I have already used it when I needed to thin paint out or clean up. Works great!!!

Hi everyone~ I have been scrapbooking this week with some very cool "boy" paper from Elle's Studio called Cameron.  I really found it to be unisex:):).  Worked great with boy or girl pictures!!
The JBS Rhinestone Bow's look like they belong:):):).

Love using the vintage labels from the JBS Mercantile.  I have been saving this one for just the right pictures and paper. Perfect match with the Elle's Studio products.

And here Elle's Studio is paired with Modern Mercantile and some JBS chipboard buttons

I can't close without an altered project.  This is an old bottle I found on one of my nature walks of the ranch.  It was leaning up against a tree.  The glass is discolored from the elements but so cool.  I added one of JBS's vintage labels{from the ephemera section} on the front and arranged some flowers, JBS feather's and JBS butterflies  to make a new table centerpiece.

Re-purposing from the JBS Mercantile~

Hi everyone, Connie here with a couple of re-purposed items from the JBS Mercantile.   I started with this suit sample binder~

and I made it into a nature book of our ranch~The pages are material so I just stapled my items on the material samples.

The next one I did was this metal ceiling tile~

and this is what I did with it~

I made a note pad with JBS pattern paper, stickers, the feathers and rub-ons.  I embellished with the flat back and chipboard pieces.  I did one more and I'm going to sneak it in.  The two boys (puzzle) probably brothers, had been speaking to me for sometime. I just loved it and wanted to scrapbook it with my two boys.  This is what I came up with~

This was a one-of a kind item (in the JBS Mercantile section).  I have it on an easel in my sitting area.  I used JBS paper, stickers and stamps. A favorite project of mine.

Ephemera and re-purposing go together~

Hi everyone~aren't these fruit labels gorgeous?  I couldn't resist including them in my next re-purpose project !!!   I will be using the vintage photo album page along with some fabulous JBS products!!!

I am using the Red/Black Collection and the Heart cards (digital) cut files also. I backed the vintage photo album page with an acrylic sheet and slipped the fruit labels under filling up the cut out window of the photo album page.

The little bits and pieces are all JBS!! There are so many fun items in the ephemera section in the Mercantile!!!  I love using it ~

Side note~hubby and I have not had our picture taken together in years, so kids took care of that!!
Have a great day!!!! by: C. Mercer

Re-purposing with JBS~

Hi everyone, Connie here with two new projects using some of Jenni's fabulous junk, I mean finds:):):)  I love to re-purpose unique items  and make a place for them in my home.  I started  with this~

It measures about a 8 1/2" X 11" so it worked great for a 12" X 12" scrapbooking layout.  I backed the photo page with an acrylic sheet, so to protect my photo and papers.  I used the boy meets girl line, such a sweet line, thought it would be perfect for this sweet boy!!!

Next up is this cool piece~

This piece measures about the same as the photo album page.  I decided to make mine into a wisdom board where I can post things I want them to grasp!!!

Here it is with the photos and quotes {attached with cloths pins} and here it is before I added their sweet little faces and my wishes for them! I also used this~

I made this my wall hanger.  I covered the spool part with paper, leaving the name of the product to show.  All of the JBS products I used will be in the JBS Mercantile soon { so hang in there}!!!!
I would love to hear your thoughts on these types of blog posts!!! by~C. Mercer

Christmas gifts and more~

Hi everyone~Connie here with some quick and easy gift ideas.  These do not take much time to make at all~so the good news, you still have time to craft!!!!

I used the super cute Silhouette mini deck of cards, to hold my lapel pin.  It is put together using the doily flowers {one of my faves}, old buttons, {JBS buttons} and a lapel pin set.

This is how the back looks!  I hot glued most of it!!! The next project~

I bought these adding machine key pieces from Jenni when I met her in Austin.  All I did was use a JBS button and hot glued a tack to the back of it~ like this.
The packaging is a re-purposed container that I covered with JBS Christmas 2012 paper, and tied it up with twine and super cute!!  I'm thinkin' I'm gonna put my name on this one:):):)
Next up~

I used the Silhouette mini deck and the tag paper and made some gift tags or they look pretty cute on the tree!!  I added some trim and the JBS chipboard buttons also.

This one is for all you junkers' out there like me~old door knob {I added inka-gold to the knob to make it shine}, wire~ heavy is all I can tell you, ribbon and JBS stickers, button and Christmas chipboard button.  Once the wire is twisted and put through the JBS button holes, hot glue it in the center hole of the door knob.

The last project took the longest, but you still have time:):):) really, not that long!!!!

On these Christmas trees you need the Tim Holtz rosette dies or snowflake die and some cool JBS paper.  I used Wren for these!!  The embellishments are all JBS!!!  I have enjoyed sharing these holiday projects with you and wish you and yours a very merry happy holiday!!

Christmas Tree lapel pin~

Hi everyone just a quick post to share with you a fun and fast JBS project.  I used the chipboard banner pieces and turned them up side down {starting to look like a tree:):)}and then covered with my favorite JBS pattern paper.  On mine I used Wren.  The tree trunk is made from a thickers letter.  I laid the tree and the tree trunk on felt and hot glued the pieces to the felt.  Then I cut around the tree and glueing the lapel pin on the back.

The tree star is the new Rhinestone stars.  They come in three colors silver, black and red!!!
These Christmas Tree lapel pins would look great on a special Christmas card or tag.
Have fun making them, they go together fast!!!! by~C. Mercer
