My name is Jo-Anne, I am English but I live in Holland in a small village, where the women still wear traditional dutch costume EVERY day…. it looks like this!
I ride a bicycle and we are blessed to have a very old fashioned slow pace of live which is a change from the rest of the world.
I am married to a Royal marine, Harry and we have one son Samuel who is now five years old. I scrap and crochet and sew and embroider and would quite willingly give up my day job to create all day long.
Creating usually happens in the attic of our small fishing cottage, its small but it’s a happy escape and it’s a happy Sunday when I am at one table, Samuel at the other and we are crafting and singing along to Lenka.
I am not an event scrapper, not a scrap album to be seen here, but I scrap the silly tiny things we all forget and the things I need to say. After that is achieved they are boxed up and stored away. The moment is done and its over. Its just my way.
This is one of my favourite ever JB projects ….a cake! The patterned papers are all so yummy together and this is a project that is so quick to do and yet so effective. All you need are two oasis and a lot of floristry pins. Then its just a matter of punching and pining!
I also love my washing line! This is the November kit and the embossed cardstock just grabbed my attention. I used lots of photographs from my childhood even if they are fuzzy and very 1970s!
I love the mix match of Jenni’s papers and elements. I have this on my desk at work. It always makes me smile. It’s a real mix of vintage elements and colour.
I thinks its great to bring scrapping into my home and I love making hangers. This one came about cos of my love for this image included in one of JB kits. Adding a huge flower made from scraps and spritzed with water and a scrap left over crepe paper trim finishes this off and gave me a funky hanger for in the kitchen.
I am honoured to be the first guest designer in 2010 for Jenni Bowlin. Anyone who knows me knows my JB product obsession . I have a habit I need to own up to……I always buy her stuff in twos….so I can keep one!!!! Eeeek now you all know how odd I am.
Cant wait to show you my January kit creations!!
